Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of Lamjel’s passenger app, website, and related services. By creating an account or using the Services, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
1. The Lamjel platform
Lamjel is a technology platform that helps passengers request transportation from independent local drivers. Unless we expressly state otherwise, Lamjel does not itself provide transportation and is not the driver or owner of a driver’s vehicle.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be legally able to enter into these Terms and provide accurate, current account information. Keep access codes and account credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity carried out through your account and must promptly report suspected unauthorised use.
3. Ride requests
A request is subject to driver and vehicle availability. Estimates for pickup time, route, trip duration, and fare may change because of traffic, weather, road conditions, location accuracy, waiting time, route changes, or other circumstances. A driver may accept or decline a request as permitted by the platform.
4. Fares, fees, and payment
The app will present the applicable fare or fare basis before or during a booking where available. You agree to pay ride fares, waiting charges, tolls, cancellation fees, taxes, or other disclosed amounts that apply to your trip. Payment options may vary. Any refund or adjustment is subject to review and applicable law.
5. Cancellations
You or a driver may cancel a ride in appropriate circumstances. A disclosed cancellation fee may apply, including where a driver has already travelled toward the pickup location or waited beyond the allowed period.
6. Safe and respectful use
You must treat drivers, other passengers, and Lamjel personnel respectfully; follow reasonable safety directions; wear required safety equipment; and avoid conduct that is unlawful, threatening, discriminatory, harassing, fraudulent, or likely to damage a vehicle. Do not use the Services to transport prohibited or dangerous items.
7. Availability and changes
The Services may be changed, interrupted, suspended, or withdrawn, including during the launch period. We do not guarantee that a driver, vehicle category, feature, or service area will always be available.
8. Third-party services
The Services may rely on third parties for maps, communications, payments, identity services, or external links. Their own terms and privacy policies may apply. Lamjel is not responsible for third-party services outside our control.
9. Suspension or termination
We may restrict or end access where reasonably necessary for safety, suspected fraud, non-payment, legal compliance, material breach of these Terms, or protection of the platform and its users. You may stop using the Services at any time.
10. Disclaimers and liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Services are provided on an “as available” basis. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded. Lamjel is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for events outside its reasonable control. Drivers remain responsible for the transportation they independently provide.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts with jurisdiction in Manipur will have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer rights or dispute process that applies.
